- Keep refrigerated and away from light.
- Clean the top of the bottle with alcohol. Clean your injection site with alcohol.
- Inject into the abdomen, thigh or fatty part of arm once per week. If you start on a Sunday, inject every Sunday – time of day is your preference.
- Discard of syringe after use. Do not reuse a syringe.
- Take the lowest dose when starting. Do NOT take a high dose yet. You may get really sick!
- Can take B-12 for energy to offset any fatigue.
- Can take B-6 for nausea. Avoid greasy, spicy and sugary foods or you may have gastrointestinal symptoms.
- Can take Cell Core Bowel mover or a stool softener for constipation.
- Do not skip meals. This can cause fatigue. If you skip meals you may notice your hair will start shedding from the lack of nutrients.
- Eat small, frequent meals. Large meals can cause nausea. Stick to small portions spaced out through the day.
- Avoid high-fat, greasy or sugary foods. These can worsen GI side effects like nausea, bloating, and indigestion.
- Stay hydrated. GLP-1s can reduce thirst cues. Aim for at least 64 oz of water daily. Add electrolytes to prevent headaches and fatigue.
- Prioritize protein. This helps preserve lean muscle mass and keeps you feeling full. Aim for at least 100 grams of protein daily or 1 gram per your goal weight; you can also calculate your recommended protein intake based on your weight.
- Limit alcohol. GLP-1s can change how your body metabolizes alcohol, increasing sensitivity or nausea.
- Slow down when eating. Your fullness signals may kick in faster. Eating slowly helps you recognize them in time.
